Howdy, this is Marti LaChance of the Social Web Wisdom blog.
If you follow my blog, you know I enjoy researching and writing about internet trends. By trade, I am a marketing and communications geek, a generalist with experience in the following:
- writing and editing,
- managing web content and website architecture,
- pitching and engaging national media,
- reporting on and analyzing media activity and web traffic,
- and creatively using social media.
Currently I’m senior writer and editor in Purdue University’s Marketing and Media Office.
Previously I led communications efforts for the NSF-funded Network for Earthquake Engineering Simulation (NEES) headquartered at Purdue University.
I love living in the Indy area and have written business, tech, and community feature stories for the city’s paper of record, the Indy Star. Check out my clipfile.
My experience in the health sciences communications is extensive. For 12 years I managed electronic communications for the Indiana University School of Medicine. View my IUSM portfolio.
I also am an amateur photographer with a penchant for the outdoors. I am a fiendish amateur cook, too. You can follow my culinary exploits at my other blog, In the Kitchen.
